From city subways to island flights, here’s everything you need to know to travel Korea with ease.
🚇 1. Urban Transportation in Korea
Subway
Most major cities in Korea—including Seoul, Busan, and Daegu—have excellent subway systems. They're fast, clean, and foreigner-friendly with English signs. Download apps like KakaoMetro or Subway Korea to easily plan routes and see arrival times.
Bus
City buses are color-coded based on their type (e.g., blue for trunk, green for local in Seoul). Stops are announced in English, and fares are low. You can pay with a T-money card, which is widely accepted.
Taxi
Taxis come in standard (silver/orange) and deluxe (black) types. Use the Kakao T app for reliable bookings. Most taxis accept cards. Note that traffic can be heavy during peak hours.

Gimpo Airport → Seoul
Linked by AREX and Subway Line 5. Mostly used for domestic and short-haul flights.
Jeju Airport → City

KTX (High-Speed Train)
Best way to travel long distances fast.
